David Newlands (62) Chairman, Kesa Electricals (Non Executive Director) David Newlands was appointed as Non-Executive Chairman of Kesa Electricals on 13 June 2003 and is Chairman of the Nomination Committee. He became a partner at Deloitte and Touche London in 1977 and joined Saatchi & Saatchi plc in 1986 as Group Finance Director. Between 1989 and 1997 he was Group Finance Director of GEC plc. He is Non-Executive Chairman of Tomkins plc, and PayPoint plc. He is also a Director of several private companies.
Thierry Falque-Pierrotin (49) Chief Executive (Director) Thierry Falque-Pierrotin was appointed Chief Executive of Kesa Electricals on 5 January 2009. He joined the PPR Group in 1990 and held various positions in the PPR Group including Chairman and CEO at Pinault Bois et Materiaux between 1997 and 2001. From 2001 he was Chairman and Chief Executive of the Redcats Group, and was a member of the PPR Group Executive Committee from 1997. Thierry is a graduate of both ESSEC, and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris.
Dominic Platt (40) Finance Director (Director) Dominic Platt was appointed Finance Director of Kesa Electricals on 4 January 2010. Prior to joining the Group Dominic had worked for Cable and Wireless plc since 1991 holding management accounting and finance manager roles while training as a management accountant. He then went on to hold a number of senior management positions throughout the organisation, including CFO of the Japan and Asia region, Group Director Internal Audit and Group Financial Controller. Dominic graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in Classics and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
Peter Wilson (68) Senior Independent Director (Director) Peter Wilson was appointed Non-Executive Director of Kesa Electricals on 13 June 2003. He is Chairman of the Remuneration Committee. Peter was employed by the Gallaher Group from 1969 to 1999, becoming Chairman and Chief Executive in 1994, and became Non-Executive Chairman of Gallaher Group Plc from January 2000 until March 2004 when he retired. Peter is a Non-Executive Director of Fortune Brands, Inc. Peter graduated from Oxford University with a Law degree.
Michel Brossard (65) Non-Executive Director (Non Executive Director) Michel Brossard was appointed Non-Executive Director of Kesa Electricals on 13 June 2003. Michel was General Manager of Philips E.G.P. until April 1999. Michel then moved to become General Manager of the Philips France Consumer Electronics Division where he stayed until January 2002. Michel has also served as Chairman of the French Electronics Manufacturers Syndicate. Michel graduated from the Institut d’Etudes Politique de Paris.
Bernard Dufau (67) Non-Executive Director (Non Executive Director) Bernard Dufau was appointed Non-Executive Director of Kesa Electricals on 19 December 2003. Bernard Dufau enjoyed a highly successful career at IBM, most recently as Chairman and Country General Manager for IBM France. In a career that spanned more than 30 years with IBM, Bernard held a series of senior positions, including Assistant General Manager, Sales and Marketing, IBM France, and General Manager, Distribution Industry, IBM Europe. Bernard is a Non-Executive Director of Dassault Systems, a French headquartered and NASDAQ quoted software company and a Non-Executive Director of France Telecom. He is also Chairman of the Audit Committee at both companies. Bernard graduated from the Ecole Supérieur d’ Electricité.
Andrew Robb (66) Non-Executive Director (Non Executive Director) Andrew Robb was appointed Non-Executive Director of Kesa Electricals on 13 June 2003. He is Chairman of the Audit Committee. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Laird Group plc and PayPoint plc, and a Non-Executive Director of Tata Steel Ltd a company quoted on the Bombay Stock Exchange, and a number of private companies. Andrew worked for P&O Steam Navigation Co. from 1971 to 1989, initially as Financial Controller and, from 1983, as Group Finance Director. From 1989 to 2001 he was Group Finance Director of Pilkington plc. Andrew remained an Executive Director until he retired from Pilkington plc in July 2003. Andrew is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
